    Roomy Tent in Great Condition

I bought this for my son to take on a punishing 11-day, 100+ mile backpacking trip through Philmont Scout Ranch in the mountains of New Mexico. He’s 6’3″ tall, so we needed to balance weight with floor space and head height. (He carried the tent and footprint – his buddy carried the poles and rain fly.) This is the first tent we’ve had with access on two sides, and he couldn’t have been happier about that. The tent easily accommodated his tall frame, with some room at the side for each boy to keep any small gear like jacket, Nalgene, etc. I don’t think they ever used the footprint, nonetheless the tent is rugged enough that it stood up to the trip with no issues. Though it rains nearly every afternoon in the Cimmaron area, they didn’t see any rain at night so we can’t speak to the effectiveness of the rain fly or waterproofing. Many thanks to OutdoorsGeek for the way they handle business, sending pictures and communicating about condition during the purchase process – a great way to afford good-quality gear.
