Description
Osprey Atmos 65 Backpack Rental
The Osprey Atmos 65 Backpack Rental has the Anti-Gravity suspension system—a seamless back panel composed of lightweight mesh extending from the top of the back panel to the hipbelt that contours to the body to deliver outstanding fit and unrestricted movement. The Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt and easily adjustable torso length optimizes comfort on the trail.
You can access your gear through the top of the pack or via a zippered front panel. The versatile floating top-lid is removable to shave weight but an integrated FlapJacket is always onboard to protect your gear from the elements. There are also two front panel pockets to keep essentials from going astray.
Final touches on this state-of-the-art pack include the Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment system and ice axe loops for winter ascents.

I really enjoyed using the Osprey Atmos. It held everything I needed for 7 1/2 days on the High Sierra Trail. The only tricky things are the hip belt pockets. Virtually impossible to zip them closed after opening them when the pack is on your back. Water bottle pockets can be a bit tricky as well, but with practice you can slide them right in. It was super comfortable on my back. Had about 48lbs including water and food. The anti-gravity system worked well and never felt anything pushing me in the back and not as much sweat on my back either compared to other packs.

Spent 3 days, 2 nights on the AT and the pack was amazing (aside from putting way too much in it). The anti-gravity back and padded shoulders made for a comfortable experience (and less back sweat). Highly recommend.

I used the Atmos on a 7 day trip. I agree with everything Guy V said below. Outdoors Geek did a great job with the rental too – definitely recommend them for rentals if you are not sure about buying.

Osprey makes amazing packs and this one is no exception. It was compact, adjustable, light, and rugged. Lot’s of thoughtful features too. I would give it five stars but I was surprised the top didn’t come off to serve as a fanny pack.

This is lightweight and fully functional with a lot of compartments that can be customized. All sizes can be adjusted to your physical characteristics. Outdoors Geek were great as well. Their equipment is well maintained and they have a great selection.
