Try It ... before You Buy It

Our hugely popular "Try It" program allows you to try camping gear before you buy with absolutely no obligation. When you decide to try camping gear, we will charge you the rental fee. If you love a specific item and want to buy it brand new, you can apply 100% of your rental fee (for that specific item) plus an additional 10% towards the purchase of that specific brand new item.

Here is an example: You rent a tent for $50 from us and want to buy a brand new version of that tent. The tent brand new costs $200, so we would subtract $50 from $200 ($150) AND take another 10% off of $150, so the price you would pay is $135 (plus shipping) for that brand new tent. You have 30 days after the end of your rental dates to take advantage of this offer.

If you want to just keep that specific item you have already rented from us, we will take 50% of the price you paid to rent that specific item off of our "Gently Used" price and that is the price you would pay to keep that specific item.

Here is an example: You rent a tent for $50 from us and want to keep the same exact tent. The tent Gently Used costs $150, so we would take 50% of what you paid to rent that tent ($25) and subtract that from the Gently Used price of $150. So the price you would pay is $125 but you DO NOT have to pay for shipping because you are keeping that tent you already have in your possession. Just send back any of the other gear you may have rented from us and keep the gear you bought using our Rent It, Try It, Buy It program. You have 30 days after the end of your rental dates to take advantage of this offer.

If you decide it's not right for you, just send it back to us. You pay only the rental fee (a fee you have already paid when renting).
