I grew up in Augusta, Georgia, where my love for the outdoors started at a young age. While many families spent their vacations at the beach, mine was happiest exploring the mountains. At 15 years old, I hiked Mount Kilimanjaro, an experience that solidified my passion for adventure and sparked a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
In high school, I made a promise to myself that one day I would build something entrepreneurial in the outdoor industry. I went on to study Entrepreneurship at the University of Georgia, graduating in 2023, and shortly afterward moved to Denver, Colorado to be closer to the places that had always inspired me.
After living in Denver for about 18 months, I came across Outdoors Geek. It felt like the perfect combination of everything I had been working toward, and in March 2026 I had the opportunity to take over the company. Owning a small business has been both incredibly challenging and deeply rewarding, and I love knowing that the work we do helps people create memories that last far beyond a single camping trip.
What excites me most about Outdoors Geek is the rental model. I believe the outdoors should be accessible to everyone—not just people who already own expensive gear or know exactly what they're doing. Whether it's someone's first night in a tent, a family vacation, a backpacking trip, or simply a chance to unplug for a weekend, I love making it easier for people to get outside with confidence.
When I'm not at the shop, you'll usually find me hiking, backpacking, skiing, trail running, or planning my next adventure. The outdoors has taught me resilience, perspective, and confidence, and I'm grateful to spend each day helping others discover those same experiences.
