The Big Bend National Park is located in Texas and it is the largest protected area of the Chihuahuan Desert, with 801,163 acres of territory and more than 1,200 species of plants, more than 450 species of birds, 56 species of reptiles, and 75 species of mammals. This National Park is extremely important, since it protects one of the largest geological and paleontological resources in the world.
Some of the activities you can do at Big Bend while you are camping are: backpacking, river trips, horseback riding, mountain biking, bird watching, hiking, and stargazing.
