Fall Family Fun in South Carolina, Camping rentals free shippingHow can you find some family fun in November? Head South.

South Carolina is a little piece of Autumn heaven for families who love the outdoors. While in the North and West we’ve begun to layer up with fleece, and possibly a down jacket, down in the South they’re still experiencing moderate temperatures.

When you think of South Carolina, long coastlines and famous resorts may come to mind, but South Carolina has so much more to explore than its popular “low-country”. Take your gang to the Northern parts of the Palmetto State and explore what nature has waiting!

Here are four fun adventures for your family to enjoy in South Carolina!

1. Falls Park on the Reedy River: This park is an expansive 26 acres of natural refuge right in the middle of downtown Greenville. With beautiful walking trails and prime viewing of the Reedy River Falls. For a great view of the falls check out Liberty Bridge.

2. The Swamp Rabbit Trail:  A 28.6 mile Rail Trail (abandoned railway), This trail runs through Greenville and ends at the nearby town of Traveler’s Nest.

Several shops offer rentals for kayaking, tubing and rafting. You can also find several public access points if you’re equipped with your own gear.

4. Table Rock State Park: Within the 3,000 acres of Table Rock State Park, there are more than 12 miles of hiking trails. The easier hikes around the lakeside trail may be better suited for younger ones. While the older siblings and adults may enjoy a challenging climb up Pinnacle or Table Top Mountain. The view is worth the effort! Table Top State Park also has 2 campsites: primitive trailside camping and cabin rentals.  While the cabins are priced higher, it may be just the thing your need for a warm and stress-less end to a fun adventure in Autumn…with the added plus of no gear to lug along with the kids!

The beaches aren’t the only thing South Carolina has to offer a nature loving family. Take a trip South this November and enjoy some extra fun with your family outdoors while southern temperatures are still moderate. Your home state temperatures may prevent you from being as active outdoors this month but fun in Autumn is just a road trip away.
