Hennessy Deluxe Explorer Hammock Rental

(1 customer review)

From: $29.00

Lying on the diagonal is the secret for maximum comfort in hammocks. Hennessy designed the first hammock with a diagonal axis. They call it the “A-sym”. We have moved the right side anchor point of the hammock down by your knee and the left side anchor point up by your shoulder. This makes the hammock feel longer with a wider ‘sweet spot’ of comfort. And, it means the key is to use that diagonal “sweet spot” as the sleeping position. The result is your weight will be well distributed and your comfort level should be high.

GEEK TIP:

When I gear tested a Hennessy Hammock (and loved it), I made the backpacking mistake of going as far as I could and not stopping until moments before dark. Even though you can set-up this hammock in two minutes once you know what you are doing, you will not set it up that quickly the first time. So, give yourself 15 minutes that first time or set it up in your back yard once before you go. You will be glad you did!

Love this hammock! But you need extra protection when the temp falls below 40º

I’ve rented this hammock from OutdoorsGeek.com several times now because I only go camping once or twice a year. I like it so much I just bought the Jungle version of this hammock (Jungle version has two layers so you can put insulation underneath you.) My only complaint was that it didn’t do well in when the temp got below 40º. Above 40º it’s really comfortable and easy to set up!
