GEEK TIP:
This Garmin Dakota 20 requires two AA batteries (not included). We highly recommend NiMH or Lithium batteries. Yes, they do cost quite a bit more, but they also last much longer so you will not have to carry around a big stock of extra AA batteries.
FEATURES:
There are some significant differences between the Dakota 10 and Dakota 20. Although both have 850 MB of internal memory, only the Dakota 20 has:
- Micro SD memory card slot
- Barometric altimeter for pinpointing precise altitude
- Built in 3-axis Electronic compass
We also really like the wireless sharing capability with other compatible Garmin devices. You only need to touch “send” to transfer your information to compatible devices.
The sunlight-readable touchscreen has a 2.6′ display with any easy to use interface.
