Thanks Dad!
My love for the great outdoors has defined me since I was a kid. I never have been able to be indoors, like in an office very long before I feel really out of place. And my Dad picked up on it when I was very young. My dad is not the GI Joe, bushman, navy seal character that would’ve gone great with this outdoors story. He is an indoors person, who loves his office, loves the indoors, and for him a perfect day is being left alone with his laptop.
But my Dad loved me and my brothers very much, more than work, more than anything. And he knew how much we loved the great outdoors, and always did his best for us to have a great time, even if things didn’t work out like we planned. At least once a month my dad took my two brothers and me camping at a popular beach close to were we lived. It was the best, since Thursday my bag was already made and the day before I slept with my bathing suit on! Even though my dad made eggs without salt, or he forgot the tent poles once, or a raccoon ate our food another time… those times we went camping are the best times of my life.
I want to wish my Dad and all Dads out there a Happy Father’s Day
