Kanopolis State Park, Kansas

The first state park in Kansas, Kanopolis State Park is in the scenic Smoky Hills region of the state of Kansas. It offers more than 30 miles of trails, 200 primitive campsites. There are 14 campgrounds with utilities outside the park.

Canaan Valley Resort State Park, West Virginia

Nestled high in the Allegheny Mountains, Canaan Valley Resort SP is home to wetlands & unique plant life. The park campground has 34 paved wooded sites with full hookup & there are free camps within 25 miles of the park. Check out the fill post to learn more http://ow.ly/LVz230jYBae

City of Rocks State Park, New Mexico

There are 7 hiking trails here at the Park. The longest of the hiking trails is the City of Rocks trail which is 6.4 miles long. It climbs a little over 500’ in elevation but is not that hard to do. There is a relatively new mountain biking trail at this State Park. This part of New Mexico has tons of mountain biking trails including the Gila National Forest area.

Yankee Springs Recreation Area, Michigan

Another park I always enjoyed hiking and cycling is Yankee Springs Recreation Area, Michigan. The mountain biking is challenging & beautiful. This park includes 30 miles of hiking trails, 12 miles of challenging mountain bike trails, 9 miles of horseback trails, as well as two public beaches, picnic shelters, and two fishing piers, along with a modern 200 campsite campground with full hookups. Voyagers National Park, Minnesota

This week lets wander off to gorgeous Voyageurs National Park, near Duluth, MN. It is one of two or three Parks that I can think of that share the border between the United States and Canada. The Canada–United States border is the longest international border.
