Mt. Rainer National Park, Washington

When I was in Americorps*NCCC one of our assignments was to go to Mt. Rainer and evaluate their need to have a crew come do work for them. I feel in love with the park but have never had the chance to return. So this week lets virtual visit Mt. Rainer National Park.

Voyagers National Park, Minnesota

This week lets wander off to gorgeous Voyageurs National Park, near Duluth, MN. It is one of two or three Parks that I can think of that share the border between the United States and Canada. The Canada–United States border is the longest international border.

City of Rocks State Park, New Mexico

There are 7 hiking trails here at the Park. The longest of the hiking trails is the City of Rocks trail which is 6.4 miles long. It climbs a little over 500’ in elevation but is not that hard to do. There is a relatively new mountain biking trail at this State Park. This part of New Mexico has tons of mountain biking trails including the Gila National Forest area.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Lets virtually wander off to Great Smoky Mountains National Park which straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee. Its a georgouss park, but also the busiest hosting some 10.7 million vistors a year. As with any national park there are loads of things to do, hiking, camping, etc in and around the park.
