One day I hope to actually visit the Great Lakes in person. Do you have any favorite spots or special places you would like to eventually visit around the Great Lakes? This week my virtual adventures carry me off to Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in WI.
As a kid I had visited the Grand Canyon 12 times, including spending a week in bottom of the canyon twice, backpacking as a teenager. Were you humbled looking across the canyon?
The colorful sandstone cliffs of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of the places I have driven close to but never had a chance to stop at and spend a while, but it is on my bucket list.
This week lets explore a beautiful and deep blue lake, that is also the 5th oldest US National Park, that of Crater Lake National Park, Oregon.
