I bought this for my son to take on a punishing 11-day, 100+ mile backpacking trip through Philmont Scout Ranch in the mountains of New Mexico. He's 6'3" tall, so we needed to balance weight with floor space and head height. (He carried the tent and footprint - his buddy
The pad was in great shape except for a few cosmetic issues. This is a super comfortable pad. I did have troubles with the valve when it arrived, but that might have been user error. In either case, they took it back, replaced the valve, and it works great now.
I Love Renting with Outdoors Geek!! The staff is always so helpful and supportive and renting this product was like all the rest, it was Top Notch! Based on my coordination with the team it came preconfigured with customized canned messages for quick texting to loved ones, already charged and
Haven't had a chance to take an overnight trip yet but I must say that they look like they are new. This is a great way to save some money on quality gear. I will not hesitate to order gently used gear from OUTDOORSGEEK in the future. I'll also recommend
Great service from Outdoors Geek After hours pickup arranged and great customer service. As for the tracker itself, simple to use and connected as designed. Only regret is I should have used it more to plot our route after the trip in the Eastern Weminuche/Rio Grande
We don't hike in remote places often enough to warrant purchasing a satellite device. This rental was perfect! Great price, amazing customer support. We talked on the phone to get details and make sure there were some available. After ordering we were able to communicate by email easily and quickly
This was the second time I rented equipment from OutdoorsGeek and everything was perfect! Easy to rent. Staff very helpful in answering questions ahead of time and helping to add a water bladder to my order which I had not originally done at time of booking equipment. Equipment arrived right
The Yellowstone package was absolutely perfect for our camping trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. There were 4 of us (all adults) so for a little extra space we upgraded to the 6 person tent and we were happy we did. First of all, the package arrived early!
Super easy and enjoyable renting experience. All of the gear was in good shape and very high quality brands. My girlfriend and I got the Couples Retreat Package and it was perfect for our needs. The only things we needed to bring were some kitchen utensils (forks and spoons), a
I rented two sets of snowshoes (with poles) for three days. The gear was in good shape, the reservation/pick-up/dropp-off processes were simple and the staff was friendly. The prices are very competitive and considering they are a local Denver business, it made my decision very easy. I will absolutely be
First off, we are starting to joke this thing is comfier then our regular mattress. My boyfriend and I weight combined is 370 and thing holds great. Doesn’t loose air, doesn’t make noise, insulated so Keeps the ground coolness away from you. For being used you could not tell. Fits
Tent arrived super clean and came with the color-coded poles, footprint, and stakes. It arrived super quickly and shipping it back was a breeze. Very easy to assemble - took about 20 min with just one person setting up, but would be much faster with two. I used the footprint,
The 14x17 tent was Superior as well the half barrel stove. CLEAN, VERY CLEAN. Excellent condition, and top quality stuff. We wanted a different setup last year and we're very happy. Happier this year. We will be back next year, and wish the great folks at Outdoors Geek continued success.
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience using OutdoorsGeek for our trip to Yellowstone. The weather dropped into the 30's every night as we were out for late season, but the high quality gear meant that we were always warm and cozy. We had to return the gear a
I was recently on a solo off-road motorcycle ride in the Georgia mountains in areas where cell service was sketchy. The GPS unit worked great and was the if I had a serious incident. Is will definitely get it again and definitely from Outdoors Geek. The customer service is the
My son and I were extremely satisfied with the ultralight backpacking rental. The backpacks are comfortable, roomy, and very light. Great sleeping mats. The Jetboil stove does a fantastic job - super quick and uses very little fuel per boil. Sawyer water filter system is top notch. Delivery and return
I've never been backpacking, but I got my first chance this summer. I wasn't going to buy all the gear without at least trying backpacking once, so I looked for gear I could rent. I was so glad I found OutdoorsGeek! The process was easy to research, reserve, and confirm
I didn't love this backpack. It had great padding around the hips and, utilizing all the other strap supports, I felt like I could have carried the moon on my back, but I found the main compartment very narrow. Some may like how the main compartment has openings to the
This tent was great on our backpacking trip! We had 2 people and enjoyed having the extra space. It was lightweight, easy to pack, and easy to set up. Service from OG was great, and we even got our order in time despite a slightly late booking (on our part).
This is a very light but very roomy tent. Set up was fairly straightforward (for a 4P tent). But very roomy, attractive, and again: light! I did notice a number of repaired holes in the stuff sack...that stuff sack is pretty brittle! If I owned it I think I would
Main thing was peace of mind. GPS not terribly accurate: search and rescue guy said that Garmin GPS is much more accurate and family who was tracking said that it seemed a little off (like I backtracked, which I didn't). Still the Spot would have gotten search and rescue close
This was great for my first time backpacking (Comanche Peak Loop) - very light gear. The sleeping bag was super warm, the jet boil was quick and easy to use (make sure to get fuel), sleeping pad was compact, and the backpack itself fit perfectly. We did have about 12
We were traveling out to Colorado from Alabama and didn’t want to have to worry about getting all our own gear through an airport and across the country, that’s when we found Outdoors Geek! The comfort camping package was exactly what we were looking for! It had all the essentials
This is a great deal for a used Marmot Trestle 15 sleeping bag from outdoors geek. The quality used gear they sell shows extreme care for the products. This is a nice 3 season bag, maybe not the smallest, but great for someone who does the occasional canoe camping trips.
For a first time backpacker and camper, this bag served me very well on my trip. It kept me very warm in 30 to 40 F weather (well above its rating, but I chose a bag with a higher rating due to being a camping amateur). Extremely satisfied with the
This was easy to set up, even though the little bag used to inflate it did not come with instructions. The temperature at night was cold (high teens, low 20s) and I slept like a baby. My boyfriend had a different sleeping pad (same sleeping type of sleeping bag though)
I rented this sleeping bag for a trip to the Grand Canyon in March 2020, anticipating that it would be cold (high teens, low 20s) and that I get cold really easily as a petite person. While I was there, it was pretty cold in the evenings (low 20s) and
We purchased both the vegetarian and meat lovers food package for our group which incidentally consisted of both. Both packages were well thought out and arrived ready to go. Tried the coffee which was not only a good but a better way prepare coffee for the group and there was
The online ordering process had a little hiccup but a quick phone call to the store (less than two minutes) got the issue sorted. The pack was quickly shipped and arrived sooner than initial estimates. It was exactly as advertised and in perfect condition. As I just recently ordered this
Got these as a Valentine's Day gift for my gf. She hasn't had a chance to use them yet, but she absolutely loved them. I searched far and wide for these, as they had already sold out on every website I could find them. I got lucky and found the
The pack was excellent...great space and fit, was very comfortable. Overall the gear was in very good condition for "used"...the Outdoorsgeek has great equipment for whatever your adventure may be. Customer service is fantastic. Would definitely use again. Recommended them to my daughter who is finding her way to the
While it took a little time to figure out it was a great tool for the location. Satellite service was generally great. The mapping program was excellent for staying on course on existing snow covered trails. The folks at Outdoors Geek were great to work with. Overall we felt it
The canvas tent was pretty straight forward. What made this such a great experience was the staff and their great customer service. From pick-up to drop-off, they were great. Flexible with a couple minor changes in our plans and didn't make a fuss in dealing with an issue. Will definitely
I rented the basic camping package (tent, sleeping bag/pad) and was very pleased with my experience. The gear arrived earlier than expected. Everything was nice and clean, and nothing was missing. I also appreciate the high-quality of the equipment. I highly recommend Outdoors Geek!
Overall the pad was comfortable to sleep on. I squeaked some when I turned at night, but I don't think it bothered my tent mate too much. The pad is pretty compact-able and I was glad it had two different valves for inflating and deflating. It takes about 50-60 breaths
Outdoors Geek was very easy to work with and very responsive with any questions we had. The gear all worked well once we put it to use in the outdoors. Shipping to and from was hassle free. Would definitely use their services again and/or recommend to anyone looking to rent
Excellent customer service! Ordered last minute (I live out of state in MT) and Outdoors Geek rushed to fill the order even calling me twice to make sure I was able to provide them with my emergency contacts so they could preload the SPOT Device and ship on time. Device
I really enjoyed using the Osprey Atmos. It held everything I needed for 7 1/2 days on the High Sierra Trail. The only tricky things are the hip belt pockets. Virtually impossible to zip them closed after opening them when the pack is on your back. Water bottle pockets can
We went on a five day camping trip in Yellowstone and were very pleased with the customer service provided by Outdoors Geek. I would highly recommend. The only reason I would give it 5 stars is that it was unclear what utensils/cooking gear would be provided. Only one small pot
We needed a tent, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads for a week-long roadtrip/camping trip from Portland, OR to Jackson, WY, but were flying in from Virginia and didn't want to check camping gear as luggage with an airline. The process of renting with Outdoors Geek instead was so simple and
We gave away our camping equipment years ago and vowed to never sleep on the ground again. So, when we were planning for a week-long bike ride, we decided to check out OutdoorsGeek. We rented a tent, two sleeping bags, and two sleeping pads. Everything arrived on time, clean, and
Tent was more than enough space for 2 and easy to assemble. Sleeping bag was warm and spacious for several nights of camping with my wife. Sleeping pad was super comfortable (don't put too much air in it!). Best part was that everything for easily into their respective bags. Only
This was our first time camping and outdoors geek made it seamless for us. The package has everything we needed and the door to door shipping made it so convenient. I would suggest this to any one that wants to camp without going broke. Everything was easy to setup and
We were a little nervous since we were flying in from out of town and didn't know anything about Outdoors Geek, but the equipment for the trip worked out great! Pick up and returns were easy, and the price of the rental package was maybe half what we would have
The camping gear was clean and appropriate for the weather we had in Yellowstone. Had some snow a couple of nights and we were warm in our tent and sleeping bags. The carrier for some of the equipment got messed up and the staff at outdoor geeks worked to make
I purchased the SB-30A charger and a solar panel over a month ago. Both are still working beautifully and full day of solar charge can charge my phone three times before needing to be recharged. Great set-up, seriously! It works better than any other solar powered charger my friends or
Outdoors Geek was incredibly responsive as I tried to find the right pack for my frame (6'7"), followed up with me, had the gear at my doorstep exactly when they said and provided a painless return process. My water filter bladder had a slight problem, but the backup worked great.
Having downsized with no space for storing camping equipment, when my daughter and family invited me to a family camping weekend I wasn't sure I could go, since I would not have space to store any equipment I purchased. But OutdoorsGeek was the perfect answer. The equipment arrived two days
Every piece of equipment in this package was very clean and in good shape. I'm not an experienced hiker but I noticed that these items were picked by experienced hikers as superior products. Everything was easy to set up and use. The shipping was handled perfectly. My gear arrived a
I rented this for a 3 day backpacking trip to Havasupai Falls and it exceeded all my expectations. The gear was extremely clean, very lightweight and high quality. The only issue I had was the chest strap on the backpack was missing when I picked it up, but luckily I
Purchased this sleeping bag for my 5 year old son who wanted to start backpacking with me. Compression bag is amazing, took very little space in my bag. My son loved the glow in the dark zipper and little pouch. We camped in the snow, and he had to unzip
I like the semi-flexible solar panels..well padded, nice zippered pouch for battery pack and accessories. Panel comes with D-rings for hanging on backpack-open or closed. SB-30 battery is slim-wider than SB-37 and lighter. SB-37 is more narrow but thicker and heavier than SB-30. Has more amp hour. SB-30 charges my LG
The tent and stove were in perfect shape and I had both shipped to my location without issue. The cost of shipping wasn't cheap, but it wasn't cost prohibitive. The folks at Outdoorsgeek were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions...and I had a bunch. If you are looking
I've rented this hammock from OutdoorsGeek.com several times now because I only go camping once or twice a year. I like it so much I just bought the Jungle version of this hammock (Jungle version has two layers so you can put insulation underneath you.) My only complaint was that
I rented the backpacking bundle for a 3 day trip this weekend. I requested the bundle for Thursday, it was slated to arrive Wednesday and it actually arrived Monday...from Colorado to Maryland. The equipment was spotless, and functioned exactly as expected. Over $1,000 worth of outdoor equipment for $225. I
